 Family Summer Shabbat Celebration |

 Mark your calendars and plan to join us on August 7th and August 28th at 7:00 p.m. for Family Summer Shabbat Celebration! Bring the kids and their swimsuits for some water fun, basketball and ice cream in the Schaffer Courtyard followed by an unusually casual outdoor style Havdalah. Don't forget your towels, blankets, bug spray and lawn chairs!

Shabbat Tots: A Free New Program From Heintz Preschool

 Heintz Preschool will be initiating a new Friday morning "Shabbat Tots" program! Designed and led by DenaHoenig Valdez, Heintz Preschool Director, the weekly class will be more than just a "Mommy and Me" program. There is no cost to participate and the program is open to the community. Aimed at children 2 years old and younger, the children, along with parents, will enjoy a morning focused on introducing the toddlers to the joys of Shabbat and the Jewish educational experience.
Beginning Friday, January 8, 2010, classes begin at 9:15 a.m. at the Heintz Preschool Friday morning Shabbat Service with Rabbi Bitran and Hazzan Lipton. The class will then separate out and enjoy a morning of group time, enrichment activities, special projects, songs and dance. Kosher Gourmet Food-To-Go

Looking for a hot Kosher meal? Each week, Agudas Achim will be offering gourmet Kosher meals to go.
All orders must be in NO LATER THAN 12:00 p.m. Friday. Meals may be picked up Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Download the order form here and fax it to 479-0295 or email it to a.levine@agudas-achim.org.
All meals are prepared in Agudas Achim's Ross Family Kitchen which is certified Kosher by the Vaad Ha Kashruth of San Antonio.

Tot Shabbat

A short, interactive service geared to preschoolers to 2nd graders led by Silvana Bacman. Everyone is welcome to come sing, dance and pray together. Tot Shabbat is held the firstFriday of the month from September to May at 6:00 p.m. in the Vexler Chapel.

Junior Congregation

The Inda Posner Religious School the only Framework for Excellence School in Texas, invites you to attend our Junior Congregation, a component of the school’s Family Education program, led by Silvana Bacman. This popular participatory Shabbat morning service is geared for 3rd to 6th graders and their families. The Services are held in the Vexler Chapel at 10:30 a.m. until the conclusion of services in the Alterman Salkind Louis Sanctuary.

Shabbat Yeladim

Congregation Agudas Achim announces new programming for children Pre-K to 2nd grade on Shabbat mornings. The program, Shabbat Yeladim, introduces children to Shabbat morning services. Patterned in the style of Tot Shabbat and Heintz Preschool’s Shabbat services, the program will be held at the same time and dates as Junior Congregation. Shabbat Yeladim will be held in the Erica Rutstein Youth Lounge from 10:30 a.m. until the conclusion of services in the Alterman Salkind Louis Sanctuary.
Children will learn about the week’s parsha, Shabbat prayer service, Jewish values and principles, and other aspects of Jewish life upon which to build a foundation of Jewish learning. The lessons will complement the Sunday School curriculum at the Inda Posner Religious School, the only Framework for Excellence School in Texas, and is a component of the school’s Family Education program.
